Aging changes a lot of your features such as your skin and hair so

people want to know what hair color makes you look younger over 50?  We want to look the same as the years go by and you can by making simple wardrobe changes.

I must explain here that I found that not all women have to stop using dark colors when

they get to middle age such as those with the skin tone of the singer Cher and people with skin the color of chocolate.  On other women, black brings out all the decline in the skin.  They look tired and the skin tone highlights any age spots and wrinkles. For men, there is a stark contrast between their face and their hair.  People looking at you know something is off but will not say.

If you choose a darker hair color when you get over 50, maintenance is key.  Any growth

leaves a bright white line at the hairline or silver streaks interlace with seemingly ageless color.  Therefore, if you are considering what hair color makes you look younger over 50, the shades to choose are:

  • warm browns
  • caramel
  • ginger
  • chocolate browns
  • Champagne blonde

Of course, whatever color you choose depends on what level you are.  Going lighter a level or

two if you are darker or if you are very light, going down a level or two works as a guide.  Highlights are good for dimension but be careful to have hair color aids such as hair mascara to hide regrowth that you cannot fix immediately.
