There are always people transitioning to natural hair for various reasons.
After many years of having chemical or mechanical services done to your hair, the time comes when one has to make a decision to change. You may not want that change but circumstances demand it!
Transitioning to natural hair can happen if you have had a curly perm, a relaxer or straightening the hair on a regular basis. Hair can take years of service but because of life events, the structure changes. When this happens, the bonds of the hair are broken Let’s consider for example, a relaxer or a curly permanent or over-lightened (bleached) hair:
After the hair has been put through these services, the individual may
experience a difficult life event e.g. a death in the family or decide to change their diet and become a vegetarian. A lot of times, the older hair cannot handle another pass of the chemical and starts breaking.
Clients may find it difficult to imagine themselves with short hair
but one can only do so many treatments before you have to give it up. This period may be made easier by doing several appointments instead of one big chop.

That section of hair between the new growth and the over-processed section always feels rougher and starts breaking. Eventually, it gets more difficult to comb through the hair the longer you take to transition to natural hair.
