Discontinued Hair Care Products

Last week it felt like I went on a mission impossible-type search for a line

that joined the list of discontinued hair care products.  With so much confusion being hurled at us, the last thing I needed was confirmation that the grapevine had been correct!  

Sadly, the jherri curl community lost one of its stalwarts – Wave Nouveau.  This was a product that

sailed the delicate balance of being able to provide curls without being too greasy at a reasonable price.  There had been news that it joined the discontinued hair care products list for some time but I would still find it around from time to time.

Since there has been a decrease in the number  of people wanting these curls, I never tried to stockpile it.

Well, as luck would have it, in the last few weeks I had a few requests which led to my streak across town to add to my inventory.  It did not go well.  Not only was the remainder of a smaller size that I wanted, it was almost twice as expensive.  

While there has been a  resurgence of products for afro-

curly hair, in the last three years many of the companies producing them have been sold and the products re-engineered. Many clients were reporting mixed results which led to sleuths outing the replacing of healthy ingredients in products. 

Hopefully, any products replacing our favorites that joined the list of discontinued hair care products will continue to contain ingredients that help us to enjoy healthy, beautiful hair.
